The duck ravioli was good, generous filling of richly flavoured duck, finished with a cream sauce and fried sage. A beautiful entree dish, a delightful way to start a meal.
If the duck ravioli, this was excellent, a dish fit for a king. Beautifully seared scallops, on a truffled mashed potato, horseradish puree. This is great, applaud for searing the scallops to perfection (nice and rare in between) and aromatic mashed potato was on another level.
Scallops, truffled mashed potatoClassic chef's dish. Chefs love to use cheap cuts of meats and turn them into something exquisite. On this occasion, the boys @ Cafe Vue, cooked the beef cheek to perfection, it was really tender. In addition, baby vegetables were also served.
Braised Beef Cheeks and Baby VegetablesMy partner in crime chose the miso marinated fillet of barramundi, with wine sauce. The fish was cooked very nicely, the miso wasn't over powering. Yumm. A showcase of technique and knowledge of pairing of ingredients.

The Vue Cafe on St Kilda Road, offers a slightly more informal kind of dining, and not so much a cafe per se.
Good Value for money meal, $35 for two really well executed dishes.
Food: $10-$35
