Salsa's

Salsa's is a guilty pleasure of mine. This Mexican fast food place really hits the notes for me, and is a must go when I visit Chadstone.

The food here is probably not REAL mexican food per say, but really tasty none the less.

I'll give you a snapshot.

Shoe-string fries are tossed with seasoning, (similar to Nando's peri peri salt, but with a hint of lime salt). And if you are really hungry you could order nacho fries, a chilli corn-carne esque topping, plus cheese and onion, and peppers.

Burritos are really filling, savoury ground meat, refried beans, wrap firmly, with the ubiquitous iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. The combination of crunchy lettuce, mysterious ground meat, with warm tortilla wrap is really damn good. A friend of mine, can down 2-3 of these burritos. Easy.

Original Burrito Baby!

The "bowl", is just what they have in burritos unwrapped and served in a bowl, (without the wrap, which means minus the calories. The 5 vegetables marketed to be in the "bowl" is sure to target people who are health conscious. But to have sparse servings of broccoli, onions, carrots, peppers, will not help to offset the massive calorie intake of starch and protein (chicken and rice).
None the less, Its still very enjoyable, and I will be happy to much down on it everyday!
