Mart 130

Tram stop number 130 on the 96 route is my favourite, tram stop. Mart 130 (Tram spelled backwards), have all the components of a kick-ass cafe, great buzz, friendly service, good coffee, and of course great food. I have been there heaps of times, and 9 out of 10 occasions, its excellent. Its pretty much the same, this time around.

Seated down on the communal table, orders were taken without fuss. We ordered the Number 3. and the baked beans (non-vegetarian option-with ham hock).

This dish is light and fresh, shavings of smoked salmon, was topped with organic poached eggs, all sitting on a creme fraiche lathered sourdough. A light and refreshing dish like this is just what you need to start your day.

No. 3

This dish might look mushy, unattractive and unappealing, but this dish is about substance then presentation. The baked beans cooked to perfection in a rich stew. Again it was on top of sourdough (apparently sourced from Dench), and the uber delicious goat cheese.

Food For Thought: Unless you get there really early, avoid weekends/public holidays, the wait is usually horrendously long.
