Lunch @ St. Ali

St Ali has always been known for their splendid coffee, however it might surprise some that it serves good, breakfast/brunch/lunch.

We were there on a lazy afternoon, parked the car @ Coles and strolled our way to this grungy cafe.

We ordered the "my mexican cousin" and "lamb pizza", and of course the all too famous St. Ali coffee (see St Ali post)

My Mexican Cousin

Very similar to Mart 130's corn fritters. The corn was plumb and juicy, the salsa complimented the poached egg and fritter well. A nice and decent dish all together. It however could do without the greens, it did not add any flavour to the dish.

Lamb Pizza

The lamb in the "lamb pizza" (Pide base), is reminiscence to the pizzas at Lucky Coq, good bold flavours. A dollop of yogurt and rocket gave it an extra dimension. Another decent dish on offering at St Ali.
