Dessert at Cumulus Inc

Cumulus Inc

We wanted to have something different for desserts after the less than inspiring lunch at Cookie. After much pondering, we opted for: Cumulus Inc. Cumulus inc named after a type of cloud is of course the work of Andrew McConell, whose work as a chef I really admire. Cumulus inc is described by Andrew McConell as an "eating house", definitely less formal than Cutler and Co.

After a long and arduous walk down to the other end of the city, we finally arrived at Cumulus inc. We asked for a dessert menu, ordered two coffees, a peanut butter Ice Cream and Madeleines.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Chocolate Cake & Caramel ($16)

This dish is a testament to the Chef's creativity. Who would have thought of making peanut butter ice cream? The slightly salty, sweet ice cream, went amazingly well with the warm and bitter-dark chocolate pudding. Heck, if this does not get you you rocking, then I do not know what will.

Madeleine with oozing with lemon curd ($2.50 each)

To put icing on the cake, we ordered two Madeleines. It was my first time having madeleine, if all madeleines are as delicious as the ones from Culumus Inc, I will be more than happy to eat it everyday for the rest of my life.
