If Liar Liar was as half as good, I will be in with a treat.
We arrived to friendly, prompt staff, seated at a nice spot. After much pondering, we ordered two soy lattes, banana and coconut bread and hotcakes.
The lattes (not pictured) were really good, it was more intense than usual, much stronger, will definitely give St Ali a good run for its money. When i was researching for this entry, I found out that it got awarded "caffeine hit of the year 2009" by The Age's Cheap Eats 2009.

Banana and coconut bread with labneh, pistachio, fruits ($12.50)
What can i say? Simply fantastic. The bread was really out of this world, the coconut brought the regular banana bread to another different level. The addition of pistachio, berries and labneh (strained yogurt) really accentuated the flavours of the humble bread. It was as if the bread was acting like a sponge absorbing all these flavours. Yummy.
Ricotta hotcakes ($15.50)If memory served me right, the hotcakes came with poached pears, and mascarporne. I thought it was all right, not really my cup of tea. I guessed I expected more for dish. Tt sounded delicious on paper, but came out to be less than impressive. It was also a bit on the expensive side for me, ( $15.50 for 3-4 hotcakes).
Food for thought: Liar Liar, is the second of the only two places in Melbourne that serves Clover Cofee. (the other one being BBB )
